  We already own the domain nlcbsa.org. Need to keep our current website up for a month while we create a new website. How can I create a new wordpress site with that domain, while still having the other website active?

  I found this very helpful response created by @supernovia earlier in a different thread. I hope this will help!

  “You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

  I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
  https://wordpress.com/plans

  Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can map or transfer the domain.
