  I started this site but realized later it would be better for the owner to start the site and add me as an admin later for billing purposes. The one concern I have is that it says if I delete the site name will no longer be available. Does that mean the owner would not be able to setup a wordpress site using this address? Or that it won’t be available to me in my dashboard?

  I see that you’ve already deleted the site kalokotinting.wordpress.com.

  If you delete a WordPress.com site, the address is not available for anyone else to register again. In fact, even you can’t register the same address.

  If you wish to keep using this address, we can still restore the domain for you (within 30 days of its deletion). Once the site has been restored to your account, you can follow the instructions here to transfer the site to another account.

  Let me know if you’d like us to restore the site.

  Oh i wasn’t aware of that. Yes in that case i would like to restore the site and then transfer it later. The client wants a theme and to use the business version so i’m not sure if that link will work or not? Maybe they can add those features after we transfer the domain?

  The site was still in the recover period and has been restored.

  You can transfer it to another user by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
