Domain

Hi, I already have a website with wordpress that was built and being hosted by a company. They haven’t done a great job of the design and I’d like to make changes but I am a beginner when it comes to WordPress. So I have two questions. 1. Is it easier to build a new website than to transfer and edit the one I have? As I said, it has quite a few plug ins so how would I be able to take over them? 2. With the wordpress business packages, I can have email addresses with a domain but I already have a domain. Could I transfer that and still receive emails?
    Thank you.

Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • 1. Would you please let us know the URL of the site currently? That can help us narrow down your options.

    2. Yes, you can transfer the domain to us and keep the old email provider: https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/add-other-email/

Hi, thank you for replying. Yes, the current website is http://www.yourdrivermedical.co.uk

  • Thank you for providing us with the URL to your site! There are a couple of options based on what I see there, but I’ll go ahead and say that I’m leaning toward migrating your existing site.

    1. With the annual Business plan you have access to our Happiness Support team via live chat. Once on the plan you can work with them to get guidance on migrating your site to our hosting platform and further assistance with setup.

    2. We have an in-house team which also specializes in migrations just like yours. I recommend reaching out to them to see what they can do to help: https://wordpress.com/built-by-wordpress-com/?ref=forums
