  I’m starting a blog on word press – can I connect a domain I already own for my work website or do I need to pay for a new one to start a blog separate from my work?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi there – Great question! You can connect a domain if you already own one. Here is how to do that: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  If after connecting your domain you would like to use that domain for a website you create here, you’ll need to add one of our hosting plans to your site: https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/
