    I’ve purchased a domain from GoDaddy. How do I migrate the domain to WordPress?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there,

    To connect your GoDaddy domain to WordPress.com, I recommend upgrading to one of our plans that include domain connections. The Personal Plan is a great starting point and is equivalent to the ‘hosting costs’ you would have with other providers. It also turns off the ads that we show on free sites.

    Once you’ve upgraded, follow these steps to connect your domain:

    1. Log in to your WordPress.com account.
    2. Go to My Sites > Upgrades > Domains.
    3. Click on “Add a domain.”
    4. Select “Use a domain I own.”
    5. Choose “Connect your domain.”
    6. Enter your GoDaddy domain and click “Next.”
    7. Follow the provided instructions to update your domain’s DNS settings in your GoDaddy account.
