I do not want to point my root domain at WordPress. We do a lot of stuff with our domain name and do not want to manage our DNS settings in WordPress. I just want to be able to point www. at the WordPress site. How can I do that
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To clarify. I know how to point www. from my domain manager. I do not want to change my name servers. Just need to know if I can point www. to my WordPress site somehow. The domains section in word press looks like it wants me to adjust my name servers

Hi there,
It is not possible to use the ‘www’ version as the primary site address on WordPress.com due to how we’ve configured our managed hosting. Instead we automatically redirect traffic to the non-www version of the domain.
We do this because it is a best practice for SEO — search engines prefer one version of the site address as the canonical URL. Two URLs (the www and non-www versions) would appear as duplicate content that would confuse their trackers, thus penalizing your site in search engine rankings. We avoid this risk by prioritizing the non-www version of your domain.

To clarify, you want the address of your site to be tecobi.com, but you do not want to manage your DNS here to do that? If that is the case then you may instead wish to set up A records to send your site traffic (and only your site traffic) to your site here on WordPress.com
This will allow you to show the site at a custom address (and replace the current site with the new one) but you will continue to manage the DNS for your domain with the current provider. This will mean that any special settings an custom TXT,CNAME, or A Records you have set up for other purposes such as email or account verifcation.
Looks like you are still getting set up on tecobi.wpcomstaging.com so when you feel you are “ready” there and would like that site to replace your current site, we can assist you in getting those records added correctly.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
