  • Hi there,

To connect a domain you’ve purchased from another provider, like GoDaddy, to your WordPress.com site, a paid hosting plan on WordPress.com is required. This is because we’re a separate company from GoDaddy, and connecting an external domain is a feature included in our paid plans.

Our paid plans not only allow you to connect your external domain but also offer a host of additional features designed to enhance your website. These include advanced customization options, additional storage space, and access to premium themes, among others.

To explore the different plans and find the one that’s right for you, please visit our pricing page at https://wordpress.com/pricing/. Each plan is tailored to meet different needs, whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow your online presence.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.
