  If I need to temporarily remove my domain so that I can delete my previous website attached to that domain, can I then readd the same domain to this wordpress? Or once you unlink a domain is it permanent and never can add the same domain again?

  Hi there!

  Do you mean you wish to delete the previous website, which was loading at the domain before you pointed it to WordPress.com?

  If so, the easiest option is to contact your hosting service and ask them for help with accessing the previous website. They may have a temporary URL that you can use to access the site and delete it. You can also ask them to delete the website for you if you no longer need it.

  Thank you that answers one question. Can I remove a domain from my wordpress and then readd the same domain at a later date? I’m wondering because it says ‘delete domain permanently’ and thats why I’m concerned I wouldn’t be able to readd the same domain at a later date

  Since you only have a domain connection, removing it from WordPress.com won’t impact the registration of the domain.

  If the domain were registered here, our advice would be different. However, since it’s registered with 123-Reg Limited, you should be okay.
