I purchased a domain and mapping pack on wordpress and I don’t know how to start changing the name servers and DNS. All I can find is how to change nameserver if i have an outside domain registrar. How do I start?

Hi,
When you register your domain directly with WordPress.com, like you did, there’s nothing else you need to do. When purchasing a new domain (or changing DNS or nameservers, etc), it can take several hours for the registration to become effective throughout the Internet.
By now, I’d expect you to be able to view your site. If you’re getting an error message, can you try to empty your browser’s cache and try again? Instructions for that can be found at Browser Issues.

Hi,
I actually had to get the domain again from Namecheap. coz it’s been 24hrs and I checked the other domain registrars that my domain is still available. and the instant I purchased from name cheap, it instantly worked.
I dont know what happened. So I’ll paid both wordpress and namecheap for that?!

Sorry about the confusion. Since the site worked when I checked, I assumed it was a normal propagation delay.
There was an error on our domain provider’s end that didn’t actually register the domain when you purchased it through WordPress.com, which is why you were able to purchase it through Namecheap later.
I’ve removed the registration on our end and refunded the difference. Since the domain is registered elsewhere, we need to leave the Domain Mapping upgrade ($13/year) to connect the domain name to your site on our end.
