I bought a new domain and I’d like it to be NOT on the same address as the other blogs I have… It seems impossible to go back and I have to pay again the registered domain… Why ? How ?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What’s the address of the domain you are referring to? and to which WordPress.com blog/site do you want to point it to?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hello Kardotim,
I’m refering to mathiaswalter.net but I’d like it to be NOT linked to my mathiaswalter.wordpress address.
    Thanks.

To what other blog do you want to point the domain to?

I’d like mathiaswalter.fr to be alone and not linked to another wordpress blog. When I bought it, on WordPress, WordPress asked me if I wanted to ling it to my other blog, I clicked yes by mistake ! Now I wanna undo this and go back to a standalone website so then people just go to mathiaswalter.fr… Am I not clear enough ? On wordpress you can’t go back and now ALL my blogs are linked so then I just have one single website… Why ?

If you want your site to be hosted on WordPress.com, then your domain needs to be connected to a WordPress.com site/blog. Or do you have a hosting elsewhere that you want to use for mathiaswalter.fr?

If you prefer to create a new site on WordPress.com and use that for your domain, then go to http://wordpress.com/signup. Once you’ve got a new site set up, let me know the address and I’ll link it to your blog.

You can also follow the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/ to learn more on how to create a website on WordPress.com instead of a blog.

OK thanks, I already have a blog (mathiaswalter.wordpress), and all my other blogs go there as well… I’m sorry this is all to stiff and annoying for me.

You’re welcome. Just let me know whenever you want the domain to be pointed to a different blog of yours.

    Cheers.
