Hey,

I want to change my primary domain name from kdufresne.me . Is that a possibility or will I have to wait until my current domain expires? I hope to receive assistance soon.

FWIW my username was one I took years before smart mouthed punks created a completely different connotation for it. The reason I chose this username was because I am terminal, we all are. I have escaped the grim reaper’s attempts to harvest my life thrice, and I am living on borrowed time.

There’s no way to change a registered domain name. If you’d like a different one you’ll need to register it separately here:

https://wordpress.com/domains

You can let that one expire and register a new one, but there’s no way to exchange a domain. You’ve purchased kdufresne.me for a full year. You can cancel it, or let it expire. But after the 48 hour refund period, there’s no way to get a different domain without paying for it separately.

When I register a new domain in the future: all of the information from the original website will be under the new domain?

Currently your domain kdufresne.me is mapped to the site kdufresne.wordpress.com. As long as you select that WordPress.com site in the second step of your domain registration, yes.
