I added a new domain to my account and changed it to primary domain
i’m not sure what is meant by DNS and i don’t know what i am supposed to change
also when i type the new domain on my search bar my webpage doesn’t come up i realise i may have to wait up to 72 hours for it to update but i am not sure what to do after i update the domain details. How do i change/edit the DNS?

    thanks.

    Hi there,

I just visited your domain at blackandwhitetints.com and it appears you successfully changed its name servers, and the domain correctly maps to your WordPress.com site:

The only DNS changes required are the name server changes, which you’ve already done.

when i type the new domain on my search bar my webpage doesn’t come up

It can often take several days before new domains are indexed into search engines. If you’d like to speed up the process, we recommend verifying both “blackandwhitetints.com” and “www.blackandwhitetints.com” using Google Webmaster Tools:

    hey, thanks!

I verified the domain on google webmaster how long would it take for it to be fully up and working

and is it normal to not be able to view the sites i edit and the pages i add to the website?

    thanks.

Google controls when sites are indexed and added to search results. There’s no way for us to predict when that will happen.

and is it normal to not be able to view the sites i edit and the pages i add to the website?

It’s not normal if you cannot view anything. However, what is normal is that if you make a change and then visit your page again and do not see the change. This often happens because of browser caching.

Whenever you see that, first try a Force Refresh on your page:
