Domain Access Help

    Hey everyone,

    I created a WordPress account which I have access to and brought a domain name plantsandpugs.com which i linked to Squarespace. I cant find this domain anymore as i think it may have expired but i would like to reinstate.

    Can anyone help? I cant find out how to do this

    Good day,

    The domain name plantsandpugs.com is expired (on 12/12/2017) and it’s tied to a WordPress.com site. I’m assuming that is your site this domain is connected to.

    GoDaddy shows the WhoIs information here.

    Hi there,

    Our records show that plantsandpugs.com expired on December 12, 2017.

    Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order.

    However, the good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else.

    A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one that we can waive.

    Also, I noticed that the domain is owned by a different account than the one you’re using to post to this thread. Please log in to the correct account and let me know how you want me to proceed.

    That’s great thank you for your help.

    Are you able to provide the information of the WordPress account that owns the domain? I cant seem to think of another account I have but I may be wrong.

    Secondly, I would love to go through the renewal process and will remember to turn on automatic renewal :-).

    If you can help me work out the account its linked to then I can start the process.

    I’m afraid I can’t disclose any information on other WordPress.com accounts for security reasons.

    I have however sent an email with recovery instructions to the email address associated with the domain. If you’re able to receive that email, please follow up there. If you’re unable to receive it, then I suggest reading through all the available options in our Account Recovery documentation:
