domain added to my account which is not mine

    I have received in my inbox a receipt from WordPress.com for the renewal of a personal plan which has been mapped to pepekamala.com a domain name I know nothing about. I have removed it from my account but can someone explain how this has happened?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    That domain was registered in July 2024 at Godaddy. Then you bought a domain connection over here which is now missing.

    You have to confirm a purchase yourself through an email you get and you have to give in your credit card number and confirm this again. So a purchase never just appears out of nowhere.

    The recent charge I see on your account is for a Personal plan attached to backinthesaddleweb.wordpress.com, which was cancelled today. The domain connections are free, and pepekamala.com is no longer connected to your WordPress.com site.

    If you receive any charge receipt mentioning that domain connection, you can check for details on it using this link, https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/.
    I have contacted you via email regarding the domain charge inquiry, so I recommend replying to the email so we can assist you with this.
