  Im going to make a dropservicing website with wordpress. I already have a domain from namecheap.com so i need to know what do i have to do next. Transfer domain or map domain ? What is the difference between them. Thank u

  Basically, if you map your domain, you’ll continue renewing its registration with your current provider.

  If you transfer, you’ll pay for registration renewals here. The first year is included with the plan. After that you’ll pay these rates for renewals:

  Transferring is nice if you want all of your payments related to your site and domain in one place. And you get the first year free.

  Mapping is nice if you have your domain registered for a long time elsewhere, if transfer isn’t available for your domain, if you’re using a subdomain, or if you’ve determined you’ll save by keeping it where it is. Just be sure to keep your domain renewed through its existing registrar.
