domain address

    Hi
    1. I already own a domain from GoDaddy and wanted to create website with you under that domain. But while I try to connect it shows me domain starting with https://XYZ.com.au rather I wanted it http://www.xyz.com.au. Why is it showing me http? How can I get it to show www?
    2. Also, while I am picking the right plan for my business website where I will be selling products online, can I begin with a cheaper option first and then upgrade once the website is fully sorted? Would there be any impact that I should know of in advance? I just don’t wanna waste money for month or months if I don’t get to set up the website in full without first few weeks.

I think it is no longer necessary (or desirable) to make an address longer than is needed. Also https is secure. http is not. A quick Google gets me this:

WWW stands for “World Wide Web.” That phrase has gone the way of “cyberspace” and “information superhighway.” Why prolong the past by placing an outdated prefix before your domain name? No WWW is the future. WWW is so twentieth century. Many webmasters have seen the light and are now dropping “www” from their websites.

  • Hey!

@themagicrobot has already explained this well but, basically, anyone who types your address with “www” at the beginning, will land on your site anyway. Here’s some more information:
