Domain after cancelled subscription?

  If I cancel my WordPress subscription within 30 days what happens to the free domain I received with it? Is it mine to take somewhere else? Is it released and I have to purchase it again separately? Is there a waiting period for the release?

  Domain is yours for an year unless you cancel it within 48 hours.

  Although refund window for most upgrades is 30 days, domain refund window is only 48 hours.

  So if you cancel the plan subscription after 48 hours, you will be refunded the price minus the cost of the domain. And the domain is yours for an year. You can of course take it anywhere else after the mandatory 60 day lock-in imposed by some domain authority.

  Also it is not a good idea let domain expire because, once a domain expires, it goes through a series of steps that make it increasingly difficult (and more expensive) to renew.
