Domain already exists, but not on WordPress?

Hello, I was thinking about purchasing this website I created on WordPress so I can remove the .wordpress from the URL. However when I typed in http://www.thelittlethings101.com it seems that someone has already taken it. I dont understand how this will work after I purchase it. My url with .wordpress.com takes me to my page but the same url without .wordpress.com exists also.

If the domain name is already registered you cannot get the same domain name.
You can go with another extenstion .blog or any it’s upto you
or another name. -
That’s the thing dude, when I go onto the website without putting WordPress.com. It shows that it’s powered by WordPress just like mine is

You won’t be able to register that domain with us, because it is already registered with Bluehost. A domain can only be registered at one provider at a time.
There is currently a self-hosted WordPress website at that domain, i.e. that website is not on WordPress.com, but is running the WordPress.ORG software on Bluehost’s servers.
If you are the person who registered the domain at Bluehost and you want to use it with a WordPress.com site, you can connect the domain to a site here using the domain mapping upgrade. First go to My Site ->Plans and add a paid plan, then go to My Site ->Domains ->Add and select the Map It option.

Yes, It’s WordPress site using wordpress.org software
It shows that it is powered by WordPress does not mean you can get that site because someone else is already using the URL which you have mentioned.
You need to find the different domain or another .org .co or .in any extensions if you like to go that way after that you can map your domain to wodpress.com site. -
