Domain “already mapped to a WordPress.com site” problems

  The domain we are trying to use “unitedmulchandsoil.com” is saying that it is already mapped to a WordPress.com site”, but I don’t know how that’s possible especially since the nameservers are still pointing to GoDaddy.

  I would guess the previous owner of that domain was also using WordPress.com. I do see that Amazon Web Services is listed as the host.

  If you have purchased the domain and are the current owner, then you should be able to add it to your account in the appropriate settings menu.

  After some strong back & forth with the client, they had it in a wordpress.com site from years ago that they never connected.
