Domain Already Mapped to Deleted WordPress.com Blog

  When I try to link my custom domain, I get an error saying that the domain is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog. The problem is that it’s mapped to a deleted blog (www.pastriesandpalates.wordpress.com). Is there a way to clear this out in the system so I can link it to my new blog (www.pastriesandpalatesblog.wordpress.com)?
