domain already registered – do I build here with another name and map later???
-
I have my own domain registered with someone who will host my page for free DOMAIN A. I have a domain that I set up here ages ago with nothing done to it that is a totally unrelated name DOMAIN B. My question is; do I build the page with the existing wordpress domain B – and then map to my hosted DOMAIN A later – does this make sense :-)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can build a site on WordPress.com at cargo14.wordpress.com and then map domainA.com to that (or a new) WordPress.com site (they don’t need to have matching addresses) at any time.
For more info, see:

Also – as the people happy to host me can also provide mail services with the @mydomain option – can this happen if fully migrate my page. do I half sound like I know what I am on about ?

Sure, I know what you’re talking about. Since we don’t provide email hosting, you will need another service for that. However, if you’re using WordPress.com as your website host, you can set up email forwarding for your domain by following the directions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/
