Domain and Design Question
-
Two questions:
I have my domain registered with GoDaddy and followed the directions on how to connect with my wordpress blog. When you type in the domain, however, you get an error stating the Safari can’t open the page because there has been too many redirects/ Please advise on how to resolve this issue.
Also, can you tell me how I can move the position of a page? I am adding pages and may want to move them ahead of a page I already have published.
Thanks!

What is the domain name you have registered at GoDaddy? We need that to give you accurate help

It looks like you have mapped the domain name but have not changed the name servers to point to WordPress.COM – the name servers should be changed at Godaddy – see below for more help – once everything is set correctly it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet

Thanks – I attempted to change the name servers and it just gave me the option to forward. Once I clicked that, I now am not able to do anything. I’ll sit tight and see what happens. I appreciate your help!

do you happen to know the question about the pages – I want to rearrange their order and am not sure how to do that.
-
The name servers can be changed at Godaddy – don’t know how but there are a lot of domains registered at Godaddy that are mapped to blogs here – there should be a help forum at Godaddy – I think the just forwarding a domain name when combined with domain mapping here will be a problem – your domain name will forward to your blog – your blog will send visitors back to your domain name – like a cat chasing it’s tail, until your browser gets tired

Your answer triggered something in my mind so I went back to GoDaddy and sure enough there was an option to put specific names to the name servers so I just put in the three from wordpress….we will see what happens.
Thanks again!

Domain mapping – done
Name servers changed – done
Primary blog set – doneLooks like you are good to go – so it will take a bit time for the changes to migrate

Just one more question oh wise one….how can I change the order of my pages? I am building so adding new pages and I don’t like the order they are in currently.
-
Not my strong point but you can do it with a custom menu, this should get you started: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/custom-menu-widget/
You might need to click on some of the references – but looking at the custom menu on my site linked to my name – I was able to drag and drop the menu entries and change the order of the pages displayed across my site

Cool – I am up, by the way, so check out my page and let me know what you think….. juliabellhrconsulting.com

All your Categories are “Uncategorized” – I would use something for Categories and Tags that is a bit more descriptive
also take your email off the contact page and use a contact form – less spam – leave the phone number – customers like to be able to talk to a real person or at least voice mail –
