Domain and email
-
My domain name and email account are currently hosted by Godaddy. There are actually two domain names with email accounts I wish to retain. I’m on your basic free plan with advertising, can you please advise what plan I would need to go to in order to transfer my domain names and hosting of my email accounts to WordPress.com? Thank you.

Hi There,
can you please advise what plan I would need to go to in order to transfer my domain names
Apart from the free plan, the domain name start from the Personal plan and below is the link where you can check different plans according to your requirement.
and hosting of my email accounts to WordPress.com?
WordPress.com does not provide email hosting in their plan so in order to take benefit of email hosting, you will have to purchase any paid WordPress.com plan and then you can purchase email hosting within the WordPress.com dashboard.

Hi there,
Are both domains on the same site?
You can use your own domain on any of our plans, so the Personal Plan will be enough for a start. The plan will also include one free domain transfer, so if the domains are on the same site, you’ll need to pay separately for the second domain transfer. Either way, the transfer will also renew your domain for an additional year.
You can see our cost for the different domains we support here:
https://wordpress.com/en/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
You can’t transfer your existing email hosting to us, but you can buy email hosting for your domains using our Professional Email upgrade. That costs $35 per mailbox per year, or $3.50 per mailbox per month. But if you sign up for an annual subscription, the first three months are free, and you’ll only be billed at the end of the three months for the remaining part of the year.

You should be able to migrate your email archives themselves from your current email host to us once you’ve set up the new email accounts with us. The steps for that will depend on who your current email host is, but we can help you with that once we get to that point in the process :)
Let me know if you have any questions.
