domain and hosting

ive got a domain name http://www.mahryska.com and i host it in homestead. i want to move and find the best place for hosting especially to be linked up here for my wordpress blog. please advise and how i can go about it.

We are all hosted here at WordPress.com. Maybe you want to ask over at WordPress.org, where they are all independently hosted.
Not sure what you mean by “be linked up here”. Any independent website can link to or blogroll a blog at WordPress.com. WP.com blogs can’t be integrated into external websites, though. They sit outside the site.

i can see in your link that you have your own domain. how did you do that? sorry, but im new here and know nothing about stuff like this. so that is why i am asking. no technical stuff either. i was checking domain mapping, is this it?

i basically want my http://www.domain.com to direct to my blog at wordpress. i would also like to have a little control on my wordpress like adding tagboard, chatterbox, etc and apparently i can only do that by being hosted independently. so that’s the main reason why im asking about domains and hosting.

As I said, ask over at WordPress.org, where they deal with hosting issues.
I have my own domain through WordPress.com, using the Domain Upgrade, but if you want those options above like chatterbox, you can’t have them here so that wouldn’t apply to you. You will basically never be able to have a chatterbox/tagboard here, so this is the wrong place for you to be looking. I mean, staff could figure out something in several months and enable it, or they could never do that. Why take the chance?

Kind of like asking the manager of a Food Lion why they think Safeway is a much better store.

well, dont need to be sarcastic especially if i already indicated i know nothing about stuff like this and this is why forums are around so it can be cleared out and it is the job of those who are here with knowledge to guide and inform those asking and be good enough to share your own suggestions to help out.
i was clearly asking if i can use the upgrades provided here on wordpress.com to direct my domain name http://www.domain.com which is being hosted at homestead here in my wordpress account. i dont know anything about dns or cname stuff so i dont know what to do. i was simply asking for suggestions to make easier for me since i dont know anything.

anyways, thanks raincoaster. il try the upgrade and see if it works. homestead isnt much help on the dns and cname which i see needs to be adjusted (which i know nothing about also). this is the reason why im asking if it would be better to transfer the hosting and what would be suggested out here.
