Domain and Hosting

Hi! I am new! I hope your can help me out. I have a couple of doubts. I have bought a domain with Go Daddy and I would like to use wordpress as hosting. I am being asked for more money in Go Daddy to do this. I want to keep using the free plan at wordpress, until I am kind of ready to lunch. Then, I will upgrade it. But it seems that I cannot do this with Go Daddy. There isn’t any free hosting option with wordpress. Which domain website will allow me to do so? and as wordpress is also a domain website, why is there not recommendation about getting domain and hosting (all in one) with wordpress? Thank you in advance for your help and time.

You need to pay someone to host a custom domain. Free sites here at WordPress.com use subdomains with an address that ends in .wordpress.com.

There is. If you had purchased a plan here first at WordPress.com you would have been given a free custom domain address of your choice included free for the first year. As it is you can still use your domaain here by mapping it if you buy a plan.
