Domain and refund
-
I canceled my subscription. Why am I not able to use pastorbensadler.com on another website. Will I get a full refund back?

Where did you register that domain? If you recently purchased it as part of a Plan on WordPressdotcom, it’s possible you also relinquished the domain when you cancelled your Plan. You should never cancel a domain you wish to use regardless of where you host it.
If you registered it here, and would like Staff to try to recover the cancelled domain, please return to this forum thread and add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the sidebar to receive Staff assistance. However, there is no guarantee they will be able to recover it for you.

Hey there,
@justjennifer is correct – if you’re wanting to transfer your domain, you should never cancel it at your current host because once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a few weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. There isn’t an exact time, however, so you’ll be checking consistently to see when it becomes available.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/
For more information on using the domain elsewhere, please see:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore the domain back to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back.
Let me know if you would like for me to try and regain the domain for you.
Thanks!
