domain and wordpress user ID issues

So here is what I got. I had a domain here on wordpress a long time ago. I moved that to a domain I host, running wordpress there (and I do a few other things with the domain). I also use the stats package ad on that requires some linkage back to here at wordpress. Have a few friends that run wordpress blogs. When I post a comment to them, my id still points to the blog I had here which no longer exists. How can I make those tags point to my domain blog instead?

    Thanks in advance.
    Ray

Under your Profile at WP.com, change the info in “Website” to your new blog.

    Already done – a LONG time ago…

    It links here for me:

Can you give me the URL of a recent comment that you made that links to your old, dead site instead?

Note that the change is not necessarily retroactive. Your old comments could still have your old ID. Some people have said it changes, though.

Interesting… Just realized that it is linking correctly on the post link with my name. However, where it indicates who I am logged in with (in my view only of course, as I am the one logged in when it occurs) if I click on my name it links to the old site. This is NOT a problem for me.

Thanks for asking for the link, as when I went to look for that, is when I noted the behavior. Not sure if that makes sense either. Basically the comment section, when showing me who I am logged in as, links to the old defunct wordpress page – but an actual comment posted and my name clicked on later takes them to my page.

Is there a difference between the link in the Recent Comments widget and the link in the comments section, once posted?
