domain ascvicenza.org renewed but not working

    I accidentally forgot to renew the subscription for the domain ascvicenza.org and it expired.
    Then, about one month ago, I renewed the subscription and now the administration page keeps telling me that “DNS needs to be updated”, but when I try to check that, I get the response that the nameservers are not pointing to wordpress.com

    I just can’t find where and how to change these settings.

    Hi there,

    I checked your blog, and you did renew the domain MAPPING, but unfortunately the domain itself has entered the redemption period. You have a very short time period to renew the domain after it expires before it goes into redemption. Redemption is when the domain registrar takes control of the domain again and puts a hold on it for about 60 days, after which it may or may not release it again.

    Your domain is with Wild West Domains, and since it isn’t registered through Automattic, we can’t help you with the redemption. But if you contact WWD, they should be able to help you with this.     In the meantime, I can refund you the mapping that you renewed, until you can get this straightened out with WWD – would you like me to go ahead and do that?

    Yes, please. If you could refund the mapping, that would be great.
    As a workaround, I think we’ll get and map another domain for the site, while we try to sort things out with WWD about the .org one.

    I have refunded you the $13 and removed the mapping. You will see the refund within about a week (it usually takes less than a week, but it can take up to a week).

    Good luck untangling your domain, and in the meantime, your blog is free to accept a new domain!
