  I’ve recently removed a domain mapping and updated my domain’s nameservers to not use the wordpress.com nameservers. How long does it take to get the domain mapping disabled in the wordpress nameservers and how long would I need to wait for the wordpress SOA to expire?

  It can take up to 72 hours for a DNS change to propagate to your ISP. We have no control over this, and it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

  As for SOA, that would depend on which of the many meanings for SOA you’re referring to. In general, your WordPress.com blog never expires, unless you delete it of course.
