Domain avaiable but can’t choose it with a free plan

  Hi,

  The domain legotrix.wordpress.com is not being used by anyone, however I can’t find a way to make my current site (tech0123452.wordpress.com) use this domain instead, however I have done this for free before on another site (tekzoid.wordpress.com, what gives?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Did you read the notice? That domain is reserved to the user legotrix so you can’t claim it.

  Yeah but when I try to type any domain, even if I know it is definitely not reserved, it just gives me a list of domains with that name and ending in .blog, .org, etc and you have to pay for them. So I’m not sure how to get a free domain as I did before.

  The error says:

  “The address legotrix.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved! But you can sign up and choose another one”.

  Not that its “reserved to a certain user” so I wasn’t sure if it would work if I tried to register it once I found out how to do it again free.

  never mind, I found the hidden button to change my site address, it was https://wordpress.com/overview/alllegotricks.wordpress.com then scroll down to the buttom, click the 3 vertical dots and click “change site address”
