Domain availability

    Hi,
    I bought the domain letsgetrealthepod.com on WP but decided I wanted to use the domain for a Wix site instead. I cancelled the domain here on WP and to my understanding, WP holds the domain for 5 days before it is available elsewhere. It has been a week since I cancelled it and WP is still holding it. How can I resolve this issue and get the domain on my Wix site?

    I’m sorry to hear this! The 5 day waiting period applies if you’re cancelling a brand new domain. Otherwise, the domain actually goes through an entire redemption process, unfortunately:

    This domain is in redemption now and will stay there a while longer. The registry holds it a while before releasing or reselling it, but they will send it back for an $80 fee.

    If you’d like to pay that, let us know and we’ll send an invoice and work on getting it back for you.
