domain availability

  I initially selected a .com domain, but did not complete my registration. When I went back a few minutes later, the .com domain was no longer available… is WordPress now holding it hostage or something? Or will it be released after a certain period? I am still interested to purchase but now my only options are .co or .net.

  No site or account is linked to this… this is a dummy account to prevent deepening my problem with a variation of the site name I want…

  If you half registered it, the name could be in limbo or reserved for the completion – WordPress.COM does not hold names hostage for ransom
