Domain cancel
-
I’ve used wordpress.com as a short term place to start a business website and I upgraded to use a custom domain (marketingpaltd.com)
Now I’m transferring away to wordpress.org and I have cancelled my domain upgrade on my wordpress.com account.
Now I’m having issues that whenever I try to do anything with my domain, I keep getting ERROR: Domain mapping upgrade is not found…
I’m trying to sort out my wordpress.org website but cannot access the wp-admin and I’m also trying to verify my domain for emails but again I can’t do anything.
Why is this happening? -
Hello –
I looked up your domain marketingpaltd.com and it is registered with https://tsohost.com
Based on the message you are seeing I believe your Domain Mapping was cancelled but the name servers are still pointing to WordPress.com
If you are using WordPress.org you will need to log into https://tsohost.com and update your name servers there. I found this email support @ tsohost . com -
Thanks lizkarkoski,
I have double checked the nameservers in tsohost (my hosting company) and they are correct. I did a DNS test on dnscheck.pingdom.com and it verifies the nameservers are ns1.tsohost.co.uk and ns2.tsohost.co.uk.
I also double checked another working wordpress.org website through the same account and the nameservers are the same. So I’m not understanding why I’m getting sent to wordpress.com to login and upgrade to ensable domain mapping when I don’t want to…

Name server changes often take 48-72 hours to begin working everywhere. When I visit marketingpaltd.com I now see the message “Welcome to marketingpaltd.com, a site recently created using our clustered Linux web hosting.”
and when I lookup the domain whois I see the TSOHOST.CO.UK name servers as well. If you’re still seeing your WordPress.com site or Domain Mapping error when visiting your domain I would wait up to 72 hours from the time you made the change, then see if the WordPress.org site is loading for you -
Ok well thats a start… while you can see my website can you do some jobs on it for me please? haha!
I’ll come back tomorrow and see what it’s like then…
Thank You!
