  Is it possible to renew my domain if I’ve already canceled it?

  Possibly.

  1. What is the domain URL?
  2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com blog URL?
  3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog URL and purchased the upgrade and canceled it?
  4. When was it cancelled?

  When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did the for you.

  1. The domain URL is rscottcarson.com
  2. The underlying wordpress.com url is rscottcarsondotcom.wordpress.com
  3. username: rscarson14
  4. it was cancelled 2/16/16 @~ 11:00am MST

  I also accidentally cancelled my Premium membership plan that should be good until October 2016.

  it is tied to the same username.

  Hi @rscarson14: I noticed that you deleted the only WordPress.com site on your account. I’ll need a WordPress.com site to add your domain to. Could you please create a new one? You can do that here:

  I have contacted the domain team to ask that they restore rscottcarson.com to your account. I’ll let you know when I hear back.

  For future, please be extra careful when cancelling domains. It is not always possible to recover them.

  I followed up with our registry partners – we never heard back from them in regards to the status of the domain. I apologize for the delay. I will update you as soon as I hear back from them, which hopefully won’t take much more than 24 hours.
