Domain Cancellation

  Maybe this is user error, but when I follow the instructions for cancelling my domain, I only see an option for cancelling domain privacy, and an alert pops up saying this will make my personal information public. I just want to get rid of this account; it hasn’t been used.

  Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  Hi duchessbettie,

  Domains are only refundable for 48 hours after registration, so to make sure no one cancels in error (expecting a refund) domains can only be cancelled by WordPress.com staff after that time.

  I’m happy to cancel the domain for you if you’ll please confirm the domain I’m to cancel is “thelocalduchess.org” and that you understand this is not refundable.

  Please know that once cancelled, there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to register this domain again (with WordPress or elsewhere) in the future, so please only cancel if you’re sure you no longer want it.
