domain cancellation

i just cancel my upgrade of domain name and mapping(dapurroti.com). i was trying to reuse my domain with another registrar. but it said that the domain is not available despite my cancellation. when i tried going to dapurroti.com this is what i got (Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.)

When domains are cancelled, they are not immediately. In cases like yours where the domain was cancelled right after it was registered, the hold period is only about a week. After that time the domain becomes available for registration again.
If you don’t want to wait, I can also attempt to get the domain back for you. If you decide to go that way, the domain would have to remain in your WordPress.com account for 60 days. After that you could transfer it to the registrar of your choice.
Note that while you can’t transfer the domain during that time, you would steill be able to use it with a site hosted elsewhere by pointing the domain to the name servers of you new host.
