domain cancellation

I tried to cancel Cheers and Fear.com and get a refund. I saw I had 48 hours, but when I went back the next day to cancel, I couldn’t find the email (accidentally deleted) and a message showed that stated that it couldn’t be cancelled. Now I tried to cancel it and it shows that it will be good till next year. What kind of shady business is this? I tried twice to cancel the domain within the 48 hours. Your record should show this and I would like a refund through Paypal. Thanks

Let’s get this straight from the get go please. There are capital letters a no spaces in any URL. Therefore, Cheers and Fear.com is not a valid URL.
Exactly which username account purchased the upgrade?
Exactly what is the underlying .wordpress.com URL of the site that username account purchased the upgrade for?
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Please be aware that if you cancel a domain, you give up ownership of it and might never be able to register it again. We do not control if and when the domain will become available again. If you plan on using the domain with a different site, let me know and I can help you transfer it instead.
Please confirm if you want to cancel the domain, and I can cancel it and issue your refund.

Can you help me? I’m having a similar issue and not getting a response. I’m trying to change my domain http://www.newhopeypac.com to wwwnewhopeypac.org. Do I have to cancel and re-do everything? I don’t want to add another domain to pay an additional $18.00. I simply want to change .com to .org. Please assist. Thank you.
