Domain Cancellation

  I cancelled my domain yesterday and I would like to be able to remove it from wordpress completely so that I can use the domain on another site.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  We never recommend you to cancel your domain that you want to keep because once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.

  If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site.

  If you like, I can try to recover the domain from our registry partner so that you can transfer the domain to a different host.

  Otherwise, you’ll need to wait a few weeks for the domain to become available. I would stay on top of checking for its availability because someone could register it from under you.

  I would appreciate it if you could recover the domain from your partner as it has already been canceled so that I could use it through another host. Let me know if this is possible. Thank you!
