Domain Cancellation?

  I registered a domain for my website bryancipollaphotography.com along with domain mapping and private registration. At this point, is it possible to cancel those and still receive a refund? I don’t have the flexibility that I realized I would need in building the site. I realize that I might not be able to get the domain name in order to register it with another service. Is there a fee I could pay so that I could do so? Thanks!

  Depends on the time frame – 48 hours I think on registration – but no need to cancel the domain registration – just find a new host and set the site up then point the name-servers to your new host – if you cancel domain registration it can take a long time for the name to be released back into the wild and you might not be able to get the same name –

  my suggestion – just change where the name servers are pointing – then you can have your site up tomorrow – (well depending on your new host and how fast you can work)
