Domain Cancelled By Mistake

    I need to get back my domain which i cancelled by mistake and transfer to it to another registrar.

    I’m sorry but I’m not quite sure if WordPress can do anything since you already transferred the domain to a different registrar.

    However, worths a try, check with a Happiness Engineer about this – login to your WordPress.com account and click this link : https://wordpress.com/help/contact

    Hi @dragoso

    I am yet to transfer it to another registrar. Even though i have cancelled the domain by mistake instead of initiating a transfer, the domain is unavailable. It says it’s taken when i check domain availability. But it still shows as registered under my name in whois. How long before it get’s released so that i can re-register the domain.

    Hi there,

    Is this for gokulphotography.com? I have emailed our registrar to try and get the domain back for you, but I see it also expired in October. You will need to renew the domain before you will be able to transfer it to a different registrar.

    I’ve sent you a link via email to pay for the renewal. Then you’ll be able to transfer the domain the moment it’s restored.

    Appreciate your help. I made the purchase using the link you mailed, but i still don’t see it under my domains. Will it take time to reflect.

    We’ve received your payment, thank you. But we’re still waiting for the registrar to undo the cancellation. Once they do that I can add the domain back to your account and then I’ll let you know.

    All this has to be done manually, so it could take a couple of days.

    Your domain has been restored and is active on your account again.

    To transfer it to a different registrar, go to My Site ->Domains. There you can unlock your domain and ask for a transfer code, which you’ll then need to give to the new registrar so they can do the transfer.
