Domain cancelled – when will it be available again?

    I cancelled my domain within the first 48 hours of purchasing it. I was wondering how long that would take to be actually cancelled by you guys for it to be able to be used again

    We don’t have a definitive answer to that. The registrar is able to choose if and when it will be released for purchase or not.

    You can point the domain name to another site or after 60 days transfer a domain name to another registrar – so you did not need to cancel the domain to use it elsewhere – there is a whole industry devoted to grabbing up domain names that have been registered before and holding the name for hostage – if you really want the domain name your best bet is to see if you can cancel the cancel and get it back into your account

    Hi there,

    Since you have cancelled your domain there isn’t anything we can do on our end to retrieve it. As already noted here, registrars do not always release domains when they revert back to their ownership.
