Domain cannot be mapped

  Hello!

  I’ve recently bought a domain called janakkalanbarokki.fi and it has been succesfully registered.

  I have changed DNS server names, as advised, to the following:
  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Also I’ve registered a site janakkalanbarokki.wordpress.com on the WordPress.com site. Now I’m trying to map my new domain and janakkalanbarokki.wordpress.com with the option: “Map an Existing Domain”. I’m getting error “Sorry but janakkalanbarokki.fi has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped.”

  Hello,
  According to WordPress.com staff in a related forum thread, they need to manually add some domain names with country extensions. That may be the case with your domain so I’ve tagged this for staff’s attention.

  Hi there,

  I’ve mapped the domain for you. You’ll still need to do a few things:

  1) Purchase the subscription here by renewing:
  https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades

  2) Point the domain to our name servers (which it looks like you’ve already done):

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  3) After giving that a few hours to take effect, set the domain as primary under https://wordpress.com/my-domains
