Domain – can't renew

  Hi, I’ve missed the renew date of my domain and now I can’t seem to find how to renew it. Can you please help? I am assuming that is the reason why when I go to my site http://www.outofpapersky.com is say the DNS is not found?

  Hi @confessionasofabargainhunter,

  Not necessarily. I assume you have bought this domain from a domain registrar other than WordPress.com? Then I would check with them, and also make sure you have auto-renew on your domain so you never risk loosing it.

  When I check your site at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/, I get a message saying that there is no domain mapping upgrade. I suspect this is the cause your DNS is not found. Read more about domain mapping at https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Hi jjberg83,

  No, I bought the domain from WordPress(as I found emails from them to renew it – my mistake to register with the email I barely use), but my hosting is with Bluehost. So I think that might be a part of the problem. Thanks. Bluehost advised that the domain is in redemption and I can only activate it by contacting WordPress. But the problem is there is not way to contact WordPress except here…

  I see. I’ve tagged this for staff attention. You might be able to renew your domain for an extra fee. They’ll let you know.

  Hi there,

  That domain was registered with us, but by a different username account, fashion4est

  The domain is currently in redemption with our registrar. It should still be possible for me to restore the domain, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain at this point. I will also need the redemption request to come from the username fashion4est, as we can only send the payment info to that account and the domain will be restored to that account as well.

  Please log in as the fashion4est account and reply here to confirm if we must attempt to recover the domain.
