    I am wondering when the grace period end to renew our site without having the large renew fee. We have been actively trying to move the site and are on the 2nd attempt to transfer after sorting out the private registration with domainsbyproxy. I am also questioning why it is $26 when all we want is the registration and mapping.

    There seems to be a short time around a week or so – but I am not staff – but I have seen in the forum registrations that have been renewed without a penalty a few days after the registration expired

    Note however – if you wan to transfer the registration to another registrar – I think that only domains that are current can be transferred.
