Domain Change

  I work for a company that had a previous employee use wordpress to edit it’s website. That employee was the only one with access to wordpress. Am I able to take over that account or transfer the domain to this new account that I created?

  Was the site definitely hosted here at WordPress.com? If so you’ll need to ask that other person to transfer the site to your account following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Hi there,

  If the site was not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software instead, you’ll have to contact the hosting provider for help with this.
