Domain change

  I have been reading through the support content but am still unclear what I need to do. I am using this current domain but would like to move it to a new domain that is on a different hosting server. Do I need to register this new domain and do domain mapping? By doing this, does all the content from the current domain get transferred to the new domain?

  If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.
