Hi, I was editing my site on https://shelbyerinphotography.wpcomstaging.com/ and then transferred my exisitng domain from wix to wordpress. Once I made the switch over to ‘shelbyerinphotography.com’ I can no longer see or edit my pages or website. I’m scared I lost all of my work.help please?
I also keep seeing ‘domain requires updating’ error message but don’t understand how to fix this.

It appears the domain is still pointing to Wix nameservers, which is why it doesn’t load your WordPress.com site. Here’s what I recommend:
- Click here to go to the domain management page.
- Click on “Name Servers” and toggle the “Use WordPress.com name servers”
This change can take up to 72 hours to take effect. You’d need to wait this period. If you want to start working on your site in the meantime, you can change the primary address of your site to shelbyerinphotography.wpcomstaging.com so that your site loads while the domain’s nameservers are being updated.

Your primary site address is the domain that people will see in their browser’s address bar when they visit your site. It is the address you use to promote your website. With a WordPress.com plan, you can set a custom domain as the primary site address.
