Hi there, I’ve already asked a question along the same lines but I just want to make sure I understand.
I created a blog on wordpress and then attached a domain name I bought else where to the blog. I have now purchased a different domain name through word press. I need to remove the domain name I purchased elsewhere from my blog and not have it map to my new one. By doing this will I loose all the work on my blog that was done to it while it was under that domian?Thanks

No – providing you had domain mapping to a base blog such as your-blog.wordpress.com –
Your content on theruecollective.wordpress.com will be safe

Can you tell me how I now delete the old domain so it doesnt map do my new one?

You might be able to get the staff to transfer the domain mapping to your new domain name – never hurts to ask – or if you have purchased the mapping less than 30 days ago you can request a refund yourself

My old domain was http://www.sparkleandthebohemian.com I’ve removed this from my blog domains but it still maps to my new domain which is http://www.theruecollective.com
How do I make it not map to my new address so that someone else can map it to a different blog?
Also when I google search my old blog Sparkle and the Bohemian it comes up reading Sparkle and the Bohemian. Then when you click on it youre directed to my new blog. Can I remove this connection as well?Thanks so much for your help.

There is no trace of sparkleandthebohemian.com in our system.
Would you please try clearing your browser’s cache?
