Essentially, you will have to change nothing at all. Except maybe the web address on your business card.

The RSS and subscriptions will continue to work, but it is still best to change the URL’s so that what appears in people’s browser address bar is correct.
On the email subscription thing, at feedburner, you can burn the new feed and then simply change the URL to the new URL and any subscriptions will automatically carry over.

Sorry about this but could you explain, I am totally new to all this – what are URL’s, where are they and how can I change them?
As for feedburner somebody said to change it to the wordpress version, so I did…
-
That was because of confusion about whether you were trying to offer RSS subscriptions or email subscriptions. They are different: you need Feedburner for the latter, not for the former.

In order to make your blog work and show up on the Internet, no need to change anyhing, but after the switch you should go over it and revise posts and pages, making sure that there is no link going back to the old wordpress.com addresses.
-
you mean just click on every link and check it says the right address at the top?
all RSS and feedburner should be fine yes?
Thanks -
Well, you don’t really need to click them, just hover your mouse over, and the link appears in the browser (where depends on the browser, usually at the bottom).
RSS and Feedburner feed are basically fine and will work, but they refer back to your wordpress.com blogname. So you should change the feed URL from blogname.wordpress.com/feed/ to domain.com/feed/ in Feedburner and remember to do that wherever else you have submitted your feed. People who subscribe to the old feed will simply be redirected. If they subscribe to the Feedburner feed they will not see any difference. As far as I know.
