We can’t give any feedback without the URLs you’re talking about, both starting with http.

Is this the blog in question? http://blowoutthecandle.com/ If so then here’s the link to contact Staff about your “likes” and twitter count issue as I can find nothing in support docs that indicates this is normal behavior and I do suspect it isn’t. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

i have contacted support to see what they can do, any further help would be greatly apreciated.

I’m sorry but there is no further help we Volunteers can provide that I am aware of. Please be patient while waiting for Staff to reply to your support ticket.

Oh dear. I’m so sorry but I just realized that you may be posting to the wrong support forum for your software. Here we provide support only for blogs being free hosted by wordpress.COM. If you have another web host then you must post to http://wordpress/ORG/support/
Please read the sticky post at the head of this forum for greater clarity > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1

Just to confirm, is http://blowoutthecandle.com/ what you’re referring to?
And, are you referring to Facebook Likes or WordPress.com Likes?

Unfortunately, that’s a limitation on Facebook and Twitter’s end, and there’s nothing that we can do about it.
Both Facebook and Twitter base their counts on the URL of the post. If that URL changes (by mapping a domain, for example), the count will reset.

i actually found a way around this if anyone is intrested.. youll get part of your likes back, or sometimes more than u expected.

if you send the new link of the page to who ever had liked it then it will recount it… i sent it to everyone on my friend list on fb and immediately got the counter back to were it was..
